Mrs. Holt retired from Phillips CEC.
She was a member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years: Harry G. Holt; two sons and daughters-in-laws: Charles and Barbara Holt and Ken and Kathy Holt of Mosheim; three grandchildren: Pamela and Wayne Hughes of Afton, Sherry Holt, and Nathan and Amy Holt of Greeneville; eight great-grandchildren: Brittany and Jacoby Adams of Greeneville, Abbey Barnes of Murfreesboro, Jacob and Ava Hughes of Afton, Faithe and Grace Lampe of Florida, Jacob Luttrell of Greeneville, and Liam Decker of Morristown; sister and brother-in-law: Madge and Ray Chamberlain of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters-in-laws: Wanda Cox of Mosheim and Billie Cox of Greenville; special friends: Romaine, Jerry and Judy Charlton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Bertha Cox and was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Holt; a granddaughter, Donna Barnes; six brothers: Alonzo, Etsel, George, Burchel, Gene, and Byrl Cox; three sisters: Ann Broyles, Mary Rader and Katie Jeffers; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Fred and Mattie Holt; and a brother-in-law: Freddie Joe Holt.
The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robert Cook officiating.
Interment will be at 10 am Wednesday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:30 am Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Holt, Wayne Hughes, Jacob Hughes, Jacob Luttrell, Jacoby Adams, and Donnie Ward.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Charles Montgomery and staff, the staff of Durham Hensley Health and Rehabilitation, and the staff of Caris Healthcare.
