Judith Bailey Saine

She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church.

Judy is survived by her children, Kurt Gilbert (Cherry) Saine of Greeneville, TN and Anja Aleksandra (Robert) Siemon of Springhill, FL; her grandchildren, Kurt Alonzo Saine of Greeneville, TN, Trent Alexander Saine of Reidsville, NC, and Kenneth Labares Saine of Greeneville, TN; her uncle, who is thought of as her brother, Ronnie Bailey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a very special cousin, Darby Yates.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Kenneth Cline Saine; and her parents, Alonzo Gilbert and Lorraine Lail Bailey.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Judy’s caregivers over the years, Darby Yates, Diane Grimes, Amy Foulks, and Trish Basket. Judy loved you all.

Gratitude is also expressed to the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville and Amedisys Hospice.

Judy’s goodwill and cheer will be missed by many. She always had an uplifting word to share, a silly face to bring a laugh, and a smile to brighten one’s day. Her personality enriched those around her and gave them strength. She led a gracious life full of love and kindness, always more concerned with the well-being of others than her own. Her greatest love was family and raising her children and grandchildren. In the summer months, one might find her smiling brightly from the back porch as she watched the children play in the creek, while winter was a time to bring her culinary skills to bear for the extraordinary warmth and cheer that only family gatherings hold. Though she is gone, her memory will continue to bring comfort, joy, and strength to all who knew her, a lasting light in the lives she touched.

There will be a gathering of friends from 1-2pm, Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Hickory Funeral Home.

The memorial service will follow at 2pm in the Hickory Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor Andrew Weisner.

Following the service a meal will be provided for all friends and family.

The service will be streamed on the Hickory Funeral Home Facebook page for those who cannot attend.
