June Waddell

June Waddell, 88, of Signature Health Care Center of Greeneville, formerly of the Cedar Creek community; Jesus called our loving mother and grandmother home on Friday, August 31, 2012, during the night of a “Blue Moon”.

She wa a former employee of the Greene County School System, was a Foster Grandparent at Debusk and Nolachuckey Schools and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Waddell was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.

She was very active at Signature Health Care Center in any activity or social event. She had a contagious laughter; she never met a stranger and would do whatever she could for anyone she came into contact with.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Donnie and Linda Waddell; a daughter and son-in-law: Janice and Freddie Franklin, all of Greeneville; grandchildren: Rick Waddell and wife, Debbie, Jason Waddell and wife, Jamie, Scottie Waddell and wife, Lena, Jeff Malone and wife, Amy, Steve Malone and wife, Lynette, Tammy Solomon and husband, Joe, Angela Ricker and husband, Lynn, Tammy Harris and husband, Billy, all of Greeneville; Kimp Franklin and wife, Tina, of Marshall, NC; great grandchildren: Heather Ricker and fiancé, Aaron Tarlton, Brandon Harris, Gavin Waddell, Cory Malone, Anna Bowers and husband, William, Adam Solomon, Cortney Solomon, Lee Franklin and Matthew Franklin; one great great grandson: Brooks Malone; two sisters: Cecil Renner and Lavice King, both of Greeneville; sister-in-law: Margaret Waddell of Greeneville; special cousins: Pete and Jane Bowers, Buddy and Marlene Brown; several nieces and nephews; special friends and caregivers: Phyllis Day, Janet Varney and Lisa Davidson.

She was the daughter of the late Sherman and Lillie Bowers Hensley and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ervin Waddell; a great great grandson, Brian Seth Tarlton; two brothers, C.C. Hensley and J. U. Hensley.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Larry Moore, Rev. Keith Williams and Rev. Paul Ragan will officiate. Intement will follow at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Rick Waddell, Jason Waddell, Scottie Waddell, Jeff Malone, Steve Malone, Cory Malone, Adam Solomon and Brandon Harris.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
