

Keith was an Electronics Specialist at Takoma Hospital for 41 years. He was a life-long member of the Greeneville Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Keith served in the United States Army from February 2nd, 1970 until October 5th, 1971, and obtained the rank of Sargeant E5. During his service, he received the following military decorations: National Defense Service Medal, two overseas bars for doing two six-month infantry terms in Vietnam, Sharpshooter (M-14 and M16), Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star Medal with Valor, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze stars, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Cindy Smith of Greeneville; a sister, Elaine Dolan of Greeneville; a sister-in-law, Beverly Smith; 7 nieces and nephews, 9 great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great nephews; and close friends, Larry Haney, Keith Dotson, and Kathy Parton all of Greeneville.
He was the son of the late Troy Kyle Smith and Elsie Vivian Johnson Smith and was preceded in death by two brothers, Randall Kyle Smith and Brent Alan Smith.
Visitation will be Friday August 22nd from 4:00-7:00 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at the Greeneville Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sabbath the 23rd at 4:00 pm with interment to follow at Price’s Cemetery in Romeo. Pastor Kent Crutcher will officiate. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard Honors team will conduct a military graveside service.
Active pallbearers include: Allen Bird, Michael Collins, Sean Dolan, Scott Dolan, Keith Dotson, Larry Haney, and Joseph Phelps. Honorary pallbearers include: Michael Gaby, Chuck Furtner, Marshall Brown, Gwynn Southerland, Sherry Cobble, Zach Cobble, and his Colleagues in the Engineering Department at Takoma Adventist Hospital.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
