Kenneth Leon Powell

He was retired from International Harvester.

Mr. Powell was born to the late Kenneth and Gladys (Bauman) Powell of Bristol, Wisconsin. He was educated in Kenosha County.

He served in the United States Army from December 1958 – December 1960.

On April 20, 1957 he was married to Carole (Styscko) Powell in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2009.

Kenneth liked fishing and trapping with his grandkids. Kenneth especially loved deer hunting with his sons. He also enjoyed his cabin up north.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law: Richard and Christine Powell of Burlington, Wisconsin, Scott and Jill Powell of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, John Powell of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Joe and Karen E. Powell of Racine, Wisconsin, and Kenneth and Jennifer Powell of Trevor, Wisconsin; grandchildren: Jonithan, Jessica, Austin, Autumn, Aidan, Avery, Alisha, Nicole, Kimberly, Daniel, and Cody Powell, all of Wisconsin; great grandchildren: Tony, Emily, Brian, and Geovany Powell; sister and brother-in-law: Shirley and Roger Gieseke of Woodworth, Wisconsin.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Mr. J. B. Renner will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his family and friends.

The family will receive friends 12 – 2 p.m. Friday preceding the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Mt. Olivet Church of Christ, in care of J.B. Renner, 390 Tweed Springs Road, Greeneville, TN 37743.
