He was retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 33 years of service.
Ms. Peters attended Pine Grove FreeWill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters: Dorothy Peters and Wanda Ruth Horner, both of Greene county; four nephews and eight nieces; several great nephews and great nieces.
She was the daughter of the late Marshall and Mamie Crawford Peters and was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, George, and Ober Peters; three sisters, Grace Dykes, Virginia Gregg, and Alice Helen Smelcer.
The funeral servcie will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Wayne Waycaster and Rev. Steve Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in Pine Grove FWB Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Marty Jackson, Bob Tate, Bobby McAmis, Nicky Gass, Johnny Roberts, Kevin Brown, David Bright, and Tony Bailey.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home.
