She was born on March 1, 1924. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Leona was a faithful member of Meadow Creek Presbyterian Church for 78 years where she played piano and taught Sunday School for many years.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Sharon and Bill Holt; one granddaughter and husband: Kristen and Gavin Hawkins; one sister-in-law: Nancy Renner; special friend and caregiver: Tina Hensley as well as special friends, Bobby Joe and Brenda Shipley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late John M. and Della Kiker and was preceded in death by her husband: Boyce Gammon; one granddaughter: Allison Holt; two sisters: Dorothy Kiker Ottinger and Ina Ruth Clowers; one brother: John M. Kiker, Jr.; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family will receive friends 4-6pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 6pm in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel, officiated by Rev. Richard Steele.
Interment will be at 11am Monday at Meadow Creek Presbyterian Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to gather at the funeral home at 10am to line in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers are Johnny Ottinger, John Ottinger, Jake Ottinger, Teddy Clowers, Martin Kiker, and Steve Kiker.
