She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Metcalf was a member of The House of the Lord Church and attended as long as her health permitted.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law: David and Allison Lamons, and Curtis Lamons of Greeneville; daughters and son-in-law: Theresa and Darrell Farmer of Mobile, Alabama, Judy Lamons of Ft. Meade, Florida, and Belinda and Mike Luecke, Patty Lou Metcalf, and Judy Metcalf, all of North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law: Harold and Wilma Ricker of Camp Creek; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Nellie Ricker and was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years: Roy Metcalf; sister: Mary Ellen Blankenship; and brothers: Wallace, Raymond, Wilmer, Lynn, and Dean Ricker.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8pm Friday, September 13, 2013, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Warner Metcalf and Rev. Lynn Mercer officiating.
Interment will follow at 12pm Saturday at Harris Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 11am Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Marty Ricker, Anthony Ricker, Nick Ricker, Junior Ricker, Ricky Fillers, Steven Gosnell, Zak Bartlett, and Mike Luecke.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Harrison, Allen Ricker, Larry Ricker, Jason Ricker, Linton Ricker, and Wayne Pridemore.
