Lola Olson

Lola Imojean Davis Olson, 96, formerly of the Newport Highway Community, transitioned into the arms of Jesus on October 3, 2024, at Brookdale Rock Springs Assisted Living Facility in Kingsport after a brief illness.

She was born on February 28, 1928, in the Cedar Creek Community of Greeneville, TN, the daughter of the late Perry and Bonnie Davis.

Lola retired from Greene Valley Developmental Center after many dedicated years of service.

She had a very social and caregiving personality and will be missed by many.

Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Howard (Don) Olson, her parents, Perry and Bonnie Davis, and her siblings, Charlie Davis, James Davis, Perry Davis, Jr., Beatrice Davis, Pansy Williams, Leota Gregory, Mildred Peters, Mayme Moore, and Beulah Seaton.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery on Friday, October 11, at 1 PM. The Reverend Jimmy Fillers will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Caney Branch Volunteer Fire Department on Newport Highway.
