
She was a homemaker.
Ms. Brown was a member of Warrensburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Cecile and Richard Shelton of Mosheim, with whom she lived, and Susie and Kenny Glasscock of Midway; grandchildren: Richard Shelton, Jr. and wife Melissa of White Pine, Cheryl Ricker and Kelly Mashburn of Johnson City, Lisa Shelton of Mosheim, Kimberly Hensley and husband Jeff of Chuckey, David and Brandi Glasscock of Afton, and Kenya and Perry Weems of Greeneville; great grandchildren: Cody Shelton, Jeff Hensley Jr., Brandon Mashburn, Alexus Shelton, Ava Shelton, Savannah, Trent, and Alyssa Weems; a sister: Margaret Sisk of Stanley, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law: Lannie and Dorothy Owens of Seymour, Tennessee; sister-in-law: Clara Owens of White Pine; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Earl E. Owens and Jossie Atkins and was preceded in death by three daughters: Gloria Jean, Shirley, and Louise; two sons: Dennis and Aaron; and her brothers and sisters: Buddy, Edward, and Liston Owens, Elizabeth Stuart, Iona Watts, and Laura Bumgarner.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Dr. John McPherson officiating.
Interment will be at 10:00 am Saturday in French Broad Baptist Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 am Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Glasscock, Perry Weems, Trent Weems, Richard Allen Shelton Jr., Jeff Hensley Jr., and Cody Shelton.
The family wished to express a special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice.
Memorials may be made to the givers favorite charity.
