He attended Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of American Legion Post #64. He was a carpenter and a boat builder. He was a member of the Davy Crockett Region of the Automobile Car Club.
He is survived by a wife of 64 years: June Anita Yovanovich, a son and daughter-in-law: Jay Daniel and Julie Yovanovich of Raleigh, North Carolina; two daughters: Linda Yovanovich and Ellie Anderson and husband, Robert; four grandsons: Jay Yovanovich and wife, Jennifer and family, Jeff Yovanovich and wife, Jayne and family, Matt and Brad Yovanovich; and two granddaughters: Kara and Lisa Yovanovich.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm on Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jamie Lively officiating.
The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee Army National Guard will conduct military honors.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Rebecca Black at Amedysis for her loving care and concern for Jay and family, Julia Payne for her kindness, care and support and Durham Hensley Nursing Home and the nurses and staff, and Caris Hospice and staff.
