
She retired from Greene Valley Development Center.
Mrs. Bowers was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of Ruth Sunday School Class.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed sewing, quilting and working in her
flowers.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years: Rodney Bowers; a son and daughter-in-law: David C. and Donna Bowers of Greeneville; a daughter and son-in-law: Linda K. and Clifford Hensley, Jr. of Limestone; two granddaughters: Jessica Robinette of Greeneville, Amber Hensley and friend, Kristopher Render of Johnson City; sisters-in-law: Billie Ruth Tiller of Nashville, Mildred Wilhoit of Greeneville, Myra Tolliver of Kingsport, Becky Brown and husband, Bill, of Tusculum; nieces and nephews: Mark Tiller III of Hendersonville, TN, Adrian Tiller of Navato, CA, Scott Brown and wife, Jackie, of Elizabethton, Deborah Mullins and husband, Terri, of Oak Ridge.
She was the daughter of the late Hugh M. and Georgia Elizabeth Tiller and was preceded in
death by a brother, Hugh Tiller, Jr.; two brothers-in-law: J. C. Wilhoit and Johnny Tolliver.
The funeral service will be held at 8 pm Saturday, August 31, 2013, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Dr. David Green
officiating. Interment wil be 2 pm Sunday, at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Wade Gefellers, Ronnie Luttrell, Bill Carter, Jr., Gary
Miller, Kelley McDavid, Willie Saulsbury, Jimmy Lister, Johnny Hutton and Mitchell Parks.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Bowers, Bruce Love, Tommy Love, Wayne
Franklin, Gary Franklin, Walter Wills, Charlie Higdon, Billy Hawk, Gene Gefellers, Oliver
Burkey, W. C. Wilhoit and all other friends and neighbors.
The family wished to express a special thanks to the staff of Amedysis Home Health , Laughlin
Memorial Hospital nurses and staff, employees of Laughlin Health Care Center and to their
friends and neighbors who has assisted the family during this time of illness.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:15 pm Sunday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
