

Lurreall Mary E. “Nanny” Weems Ragon, 78, formerly of Sinking Springs Road, Midway, currently a resident of Life Care Center of Greeneville, went home to be with Jesus, Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
She was a housewife.
Mrs. Ragon was a member of Mt. View FreeWill Baptist Church on Warrensburg Road.
Her family stated she was a devoted Christian wife, mother and a “nanny” to all who knew her. She also served and sang praise to the Lord as long as her health permitted.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 61 years: J. W. Ragon, Sr.; daughters: Yvonnda Davis of Warrensburg, Tammy Hensley and Leonard “Peanut”, of Midway, Lois Ragon Lowery of Midway; a son and daughter-in-law: Rev. Johnny W. ‘Bo” and Denise Ragon of Mosheim; grandchildren: April Hinkle Story, Melanie Ragon, David W. Hinkle, Temeka Jennings, Latashia Ragon, Emma Hensley, Jan Dean, June Carter, Joan Parker; 19 great grandchildren; and her special neighbors: Deana Gilland and Ty Sauceman.
Born June 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Clomer and Ethel Weems and was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Lee; a brother, David Harvey.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at Bible’s Chapel Baptist Church.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8 pm at the church with Rev. Doyle Pruitt, Rev. Tim Carson, and Rev. Bobby Miller officiating.
Interment will be at 10 am Friday at Bible’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Denny Tolliver, Matthew Tolliver, David W. Hinkle, David “Littleman” Chatham, Dakota Trentham, Bill Chandler, and Lance Dean.
Honorary Pallbearers are James Johnson, Ronnie Bowman, Willie Wills, Paul Pleamonns, Randy Quinn, Ronnie Ragon; special honorary pallbearers: Dr. Kenneth Nickles, Dr. Steven Prince and his assistant, Miss Jade.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff on 4 West at Laughlin Memorial Hospital, the ICU staff, the staff of Smoky Mt. Hospice, and special CAN Miss Naney.
