My greatest fun and memories is stories brother Peek told from the Pulpit and me sitting beside Maybelle in church in Lenoir City, TN. I was living in Oak Ridge at the time in 1992 conducting experiments with the Dept. of Energy at the Oak Ridge National Lab and had the great fortune of attending every Wednesday night and Sunday nights with them both and would go down to the parsonage to chat and reminisce.

One of my all time favorites is the one where Maybelle was visiting with my Uncle & Aunt, Rick and Marcella Morrison, Church of God ministers and Maybelle fell over in a rocking chair. Brother Peek kept on talking. As Maybelle struggled to get up, roll over, or free herself....She spoke up and said "Well, Norvell...are you going to help me get up or let me lay here?". God Blessed us with them here on Earth.

A Brother Peek Song for the ages in many of his sermons: "Paul and Silas got stuck in jail...had no one to go their bail..keep your hands to the plow-hold on; Hold on, Hold on....Keep your hands to the plow hold on! Paul and Silas began to shout, the gates flew open and they walked out...Keep your hands to the plow...hold on; Hold on, Hold on!!! Keep your hands to the plow hold on.

We love you and your memories and love will never die from our family or the Church at Horse Creek that God blessed us with in a Pastor and his Wife !

Bless you Maybelle, and I see you now hugging ole Norvell!!

Dear Peek family, we are all praying for your family. All of you have always been near & dear to our hearts. We rejoice that dear MaeBelle has gained her heavenly reward & can only imagine the glory as she stepped forward at God's calling. She & Brother Peek walking together again in God's midst. How truly sweet & special. Your loss hurts & she would tell you to seek her in God's kingdom. That would be her comfort to each of you.

We love all of you. You'll all remain special to each of us. Please let us know if we can be of help to any of you. God bless you all & may his comfort surround each of you giving you a glimpse of your Mom at home. Love, Ray, Priscilla & Shelton Family

Precious Family,

I am so thankful for the ministry of Maebelle as my former pastor's wife. She not only served fer husband faithfully, she served the local church and worked diligently in mission projects locally, state-wide and the world.

Her compassion and love for her Lord, family and friends will always be remembered. She especially touched my life as a young mother with constant encouragement. I remember when our daughter, Stacy was in 4H during elementary school and need to "bake something from scratch." Fortunately, Maebelle said, "Just bring her over and I'll help her." She was so gracious whenever anyone needed her help throughout the almost 10 years of ministry in Lenoir City.

Another fond memory is when Stacy (about 10 yrs old) and I discovered Brother Peek and Maebelle at Dollywood with their grandson, Justin. We stayed together throughout the day, enjoying the park and we ALL rode a water ride together. What fun!!

Please know you are all lifted up in our prayers with love and gratitude for the blessing of your incredible parents.

May God hold you close!
