Marcena Bowman

She attended Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and was retired from Hurd Lock.

Marcena is survived by her son, Jeremy (Susan Smelcer) Bowman; daughter, Angie Ayers; grandchildren, Nolan Bowman and Brock Campbell; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Hensley, Brantley Campbell, and Greyson Campbell; great-great grandchildren, Oaklyn Hensley and Wrenley Hensley; brother, George “Buddy” Freshour; sister, Beth Freshour; aunt, Eva Bucklew; two sisters-in-law, Betty Hopson and Linda Bowman; several nieces and nephews; several special cousins; and special friends, Mitzi Bowman and Judy Kitzmiller.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bowman; a grandchild, Royce “Jack” Bowman; and her parents Cloyd and Bertie Freshour.

The family will receive friends from 4-7pm Saturday July 11, 2026, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 7pm in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel, officiated by Rev. Robert Smith.

Interment will be at 2pm Sunday July 12, 2026, at Greystone Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1pm to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family at the funeral home.
