Margaret Carter

She was a homemaker and caregiver.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Jerry Norton of the Greystone Community; grandchildren: Angela Gunter and husband, Roger, and Tristan Norton and wife, Krystal; great-grandchildren: Spencer Gunter and Mason Gunter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Buck and Nancy Carter and was preceded in death by five brothers: Boston, Henry, Russell, Woodrow and Wilson Carter; and two sisters, Magline Swift and Pauline Carter.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, June 5, 2016, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tommy Melton officiating.

Interment will follow in Cross Anchor Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Starnes, Spencer Gunter, Johnny Carter, Richard Swift, Scotty Swift, and Dean Swift.

The family wished to express a special thanks to the staff at Laughlin Healthcare Center.
