

Marie Curtis Harrell, 88, of Broom Factory Road, Greeneville, died Friday afternoon, July 29, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family and her pet companion, “Tabby”. She will be remembered as a devout Christian and for her unwavering faith in her Lord.
She attended Russellville Church of God.
Mrs. Harrell is survived by two daughters and son-in-law: Delores “Dee” and Cam Philbeck and Janice and Terry Burger, all of Greeneville; two sons and daughters-in-law: Jack and Carolyn Harrell of Raleigh, North Carolina and Paul David and Thelma Harrell of Richmond, Kentucky; two daughters-in-law: Jo Ann Harrell and Patsy Harrell; nine grandchildren: Dale Harrell and spouse Lisa, Donna Price and spouse Tim, Angel Baker and spouse John, Montia McNeese and spouse Daniel, Cam Philbeck III and spouse Nancy, Lora Hensley and spouse Jeff, Jason Taylor and spouse Danielle, Scott Philbeck and spouse Natasha, Brock Taylor and spouse Heather; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 13 stepchildren and their spouses; two sisters: June Anstee of Blountville and Grace “Nellie” Campbell of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to CARIS Hospice nurses and staff.
She was a daughter of the late Carl Edward and Vandora Tarpley Curtis and was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jack Clarence Harrell, four sisters, and two brothers.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday preceding the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Edward Blazer and Rev. Stephen Kimery will officiate.
Interment will follow at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 9:15 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the committal service.
Her pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
