He was in law enforcement and attended Central Baptist church.
He is survived by one son: Thomas Overacker of High Springs, FL; grandchildren: Jared Overacker, Blake Overacker, Tammy Overacker, Terry Zimmerman and James Overacker; great grandchildren: Alexandria Overacker, Isaac Overacker, Samantha Overacker, Wyatt Overacker, Brylee Zimmerman, McKenzie Zimmerman, and Bennett Reed.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Laura Overacker; a son: Mark Overacker; and parents: Worth and Maude Overacker.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-12:00 pm Thursday preceding the service at 12:00 at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. Rev. Brad Higgins will be officiating. Interment will follow at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be friends of the church.
Kiser-Rose Hill is in charge of arrangements.
