

She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse.
Ms. Farris was a long-time member of Union Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Vicki Bowlin of Greeneville and Sandra and Charles “Bo” Jackson of Chuckey; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Mark Farris of Greeneville, and Tim and Tammy Farris of McEwen, Tennessee; grandchildren: Matthew Barnes and Jonathan Farris of Greeneville, Peyton Taw Jackson of Chuckey, Cara Farris and Cayla Farris of McEwen, Tennessee; great granddaughter: Addison Taylor Barnes of Greeneville; sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Massey Bible of Greeneville and Viola Shelton Jones of Rhea County; many nieces and nephews and many special friends including Phyllis Justice of Greeneville, Charlotte Knight of Bulls Gap and Jennifer Moreno of Greeneville.
She is the daughter of the late John Henry and Madge Parton Massey and was preceded in death by four brothers: Luke Massey, Jessie Massey, Bill Shelton, and Callie Massey; and five sisters: Tilda Mindenhall, Martha Tipton, Ora Lee Mysinger, Sudia Starnes, and Bonnie Hylman.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Caris Hospice and a special young friend, Dakota.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel.
Rev. Tim Farris, Rev. Eddie Malone, and Rev. Wayne Waycaster will officiate. Interment will follow in Cross Anchor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
