
She retired from the Social Security Administration after 36 years of service. She had spent the last 8 years of her life doing volunteer work at Nolachuckey Elementary School.
She was a member of Cedar Creek Church of God where she faithfully attended until her health would not permit it.
Mary Ruth is survived by her husband: Lyle Foreman; son: Scott Aldridge of Greeneville; grandson: Nicholas Aldridge of Greeneville; stepson: Mark Foreman and wife Haley of Kalispell, Montana; three step grandchildren: Kirsten, Emma, and Samuel Foreman of Kalispell, Montana; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Bobbie and Nick Partee of Clarkston, Washington, and Marjorie and David Kipps of Vienna, Virginia; two special friends: David and Brenda Whisnant of Jonesborough; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends
She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Belle Brooks and was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Brooks, and two sisters, Francis Miller and Carolyn Bish.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Friday preceding the funeral service at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Darrell Allen and Pastor Brice Casey officiating.
Interment will follow at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the cemetery for the committal service.
Her pallbearers are David Whisnant, Robert Foreman, Danny Foreman, Travis Hoxie, Dennis Brooks, and Bob Hartman.
