Mary R. Seaton

She was a housewife. Mrs. Seaton attended Susong Memorial Church.

Her family states, “She expressed her faith and love for Christ thru her testimonies. She showed kindness to everyone through her happy smiles and jolly laughs. She was a housewife and spent most of her life as a farm lady either assisting her family on the farm, or preparing delicious meals. Her hobbies included quilting and doll making as well as various other crafts. She was a member of Links Home Demonstration Club as long as her health permitted.”

Survivors include her husband: Ray Seaton; a daughter and son-in-law: Christine and Ronnie Knight; two sons and daughters-in-law: Lyman and Sandy Seaton, Frank and Katrina Seaton, all of Greeneville; grandchildren: Kimberly Cruey, Kevin Knight and wife, Roxanne, Tammy Armstrong and husband, Nathan, Chris Seaton, Matt Seaton, Braden Seaton, Bryan Seaton and wife, Kaysie, Bradley Seaton, Benjamin Seaton, Madelyn Marie Seaton, Rebecca Hudson, Michael Hudson; step grandchildren: Corey Yokley, and wife, Dawn, Stacy Knight; great grandchildren: Linsey Armstrong, Megan Armstrong, Taylor Armstrong, Katelin Knight, Kevin Knight, Heather Cruey, and Kendra Cruey; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Naomi Kibby of Greeneville, Dorothy and Lawrence Haney of Talbott; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Josephine Ball, Robert and Willie Kate Seaton, Donald and Jean Seaton, Bruce and Mazel Seaton, Loavone and Joe Faulkner; several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Sidney and Florence Gibbs Seaton and was preceded in death by her first husband, Grady Parker, and infant daughter, one brother, J. D. Seaton; five sisters, Willie Kate Stills, Georgia Stills, Volen Seaton, Ivorine Crum, and Malsena Lafollette.

The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2010, in the Kiser Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Jim Fillers, Rev. Dewayne Gray, and Rev. Sam Smith will officiate. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Knight, Chris Seaton, Matt Seaton, Ben Seaton, Brian Seaton, Corey Yokley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Hawk, Elgin Gentry, Audrey Johnson, Ricky

Johnson, Danny Ball, John Seaton, Jeff Kelley, Mike Cruey, Tim Soloman, Nathen Armstrong, and Lyle Crum.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
