Matthew Vaughn Wills

In his youth, he was saved and baptized into the family of God and had a passion for studying the Word of God.

He is survived by his parents; Rick and Kimberly Russell; his grandmother; Betty Ruth Vaughn; aunts and uncles: Mary and Merrill Davis, Sam and Helen McQueen, Shirley Rambo, Kyle McQueen, Denny Russell, Rocky Russell, Joe and Kathy Renner, Juanita Wills; several special cousins; and his beloved dog, Romey.

He was preceded in death by his father; Robert Daniel Wills, Jr.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Wills Sr.; great grandmother, Ollie McQueen; and he shared a special bond with his papaw, Ray Vaughn.

Mr. Wills was a 2005 graduate of Greeneville High School and earned numerous awards and certificates for good citizenship and academic achievement.

He worked for Harmon Ice as long as his health permitted. He was an avid reader and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, writing, and art. Mr. Wills enjoyed gardening and had a great respect for nature.

A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Tuesday at the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Clarence Gammill officiating. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the service.
