

Maxine enjoyed playing the piano at her home church, Susong Memorial for 50 years and at the nursing home every Wednesday for many years. She was a Sunday School teacher for the ladies class until her health declined. She was known as the chewing gum lady at church, where she would hand out chewing gum to the small children, and care taker to fellow elderly.
She is survived by two sons, Jesse (Betty) Lowery and Mickey (Clorida) Lowery; two special grandsons, Cody Tyler and Daniel Ray Lowery, who was the joy of her life; siblings Lawrence Seaton, Barbara (RJ) Payne, Joyce (Beryl) Wilhoit, sister-in-law, Susie Seaton; special friends, Taylor Reaves and Pauline Scarborough and Nellie Nye, all her church family, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Maxine was the daughter of the late Jesse and Maggie Seaton. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lemuel Ray Lowery, second husband, Gail Jones; grandson, Cody Ray Lowery; two brothers, Joe B. Seaton and Linton B. Seaton and a sister-in-law, Shirley Seaton.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Clay Wilkerson and Sam Smith officiating.
Interment will be on Monday at 2pm in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1 pm to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers are Terry Kelley, Mike Underwood, Jesse Lowery, Mickey Lowery, Cody Lowery, and Daniel Lowery.
Honorary pallbearers are Susong Memorial Church.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Laughlin Healthcare and Rehab Staff.
