

Mildred Britton Gaddis of Greeneville, 84, died Wednesday evening, June 11, 2014, at Laughlin Healthcare Center. She was born October 16, 1929. She was a twenty-nine year employee of Magnavox and had attended Bridges Chapel Church of God. Mrs. Gaddis was a Christian wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed working in her flowers and cooking for her family.
Survivors include her beloved husband of sixty-four years: John Bill Gaddis; daughter Brenda Cobble; son-in-law Dr. Douglas Cobble; son Billy Gaddis; daughter-in-law Pamela Gaddis; grandchildren: Melissa and Matthew Cobble; sister Mary Grace Tullock Graham; sisters-in-law: Madge Britton, brother-in-law: Kyle “Lavane” Kimery; and several nieces and nephews including Carol Averett, Barbara Britton, Bonnie Burgess, Hollis Dunaway, Sammy Dunaway, Pat Hopson, Linda Holt, Richard Vaughn, Randy Kimery, Ricky Kimery, Ronnie Tullock, and Bobby Joe Tullock.
She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter Christin Shea Cobble; parents, Thomas Kenny and Emma Lucy Britton; brothers: Willie Britton, Jack Britton, and Johnny Britton; sisters: Lucy Dell Babb, Bonnie Kimery, and Denzel Vaughn; brothers-in-law: Bill Babb, Tom Gaddis, and Redmond Gaddis; and sisters-in-law: Freda Britton, Grace Britton, Martha Kate Dunaway, Mabel Gaddis, Janie Miller, and Molly Vaughn.
The family will receive friends at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 13th, with service to follow.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held following visitation in the chapel at 8:00 p.m. Officiating ministers are Clarence Gammill and Steven Kimery.
A burial service will be held Saturday, June 14th at 10:00 a.m. at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:30 am Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Terry Britton, Grant Cobble, Mike Hopson, Randy Kimery, Ricky Kimery, Jon Roberts, and Ronnie Tullock.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of the west wing at Laughlin Health Care Center and former co-workers at Magnavox.
