She was born on April 28, 1963, in Frankfurt, Germany to Ronald and Inez Humphreys.
In 1981 she married her high school sweetheart, Billy Ward. They had two daughters, Shasta and Shiana. She was the best wife and mother anyone could ask for. Together they attended Cedar Creek Church of God and spent many years teaching Sunday School.
She was employed at American Greetings for 44 years. Her favorite pastimes were running the road with her honey and spoiling Benly, Aubrey, and Katie. Being their Memaw/MeMe was her dearest title.
She always had a smile on her face.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years: Billy Ward; two daughters and sons-in-law: Shasta and BJ Stewart, and Shiana and Cody Morgan; grandchildren: Benly Stewart, Aubrey Jewell Stewart, and Katie Mae Morgan; parents: Ronald and Inez Humphreys; mother-in-law: Joann Ward; siblings: Donna (Chris) Ricker and Richie (April) Humphreys; several special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Demas and Etta Humphreys, and Vernie and Pearl Waddell; father-in-law: Bill Ward and brother-in-law: Ricky Ward.
Pallbearers will be: Richie Humphreys, Chris Ricker, BJ Stewart, Cody Morgan, Benly Stewart, Logan Ricker and Heath Ricker.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Nick Humphreys and Brandon Humphreys.
At the request of her granddaughter, the family asks everyone to wear colorful clothing to celebrate Memaw’s life.
There will be a graveside service held on Friday at 2:00 pm at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Rev. Dwayne Pierce will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:00 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home to go in procession to the cemetery.
