Nahum Martinez, 25, of Bandy Road, Greeneville, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Nolichuckey River as the result of a drowning accident. He was employed by Used Pallets Recycling Company.
Nahum was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church.
He played in the band “Diamond”. He also loved to play music in the church. He was a very kind and loving brother and uncle.
He was a very hard working, goal-oriented, and respectful son who helped his parents every way he could.
Survivors include his parents: Renato and Maria Martinez; five sisters and brothers-in-law: Rosa Martinez and Rogelio Gutierrez, Roberta Martinez Vidal and Apolinar Gaspar, Maria del Carmen Martinez Vidal and Iliberio Martinez, all of Shelby, North Carolina, Maria G. Martinez Vidal and Jesus Martinez of Greeneville, and Silvia Martinez of Mexico; and three brothers: Amado Martinez, Librado Martinez, and Noe Martinez.
The family will receive friends 6pm-8pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, a Memorial Service will be held at 8pm Friday, June 28, 2013, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Casteel officiating.
