She was retired from Magnavox and was Baptist by faith. Norma was an avid fan of the Greeneville Astros/Reds and the Tennessee Vols.
She was a loving mother and she was passionate about her sons Wade and Darin and her extended family. She was especially close to her niece Patty Foshie. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandson Devon. She loved being outdoors in the yard or on the lake.
Norma is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Wade and Audra Humbard of Knoxville and Darin and Jennifer Humbard of Greensboro, North Carolina; one grandson, Devon Humbard; two sisters, Joyce Johnson of Mosheim and Carolyn Parker of Mosheim; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Charlsie Parker of Greeneville; sister-in-law, Ramona Parker as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late W. O. Parker and Dora Poe Parker. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle A. Humbard; six brothers, Ralph Parker, Carl Parker, Gene Parker, Howard Parker, Sam Parker and Verlin Parker as well as two sisters, Florence Yates and Wanda Burger.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 – 3 and 5 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Richard Long officiating.
The graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 am in Brown Springs Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Thursday at the funeral home, to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers are Wade Humbard, Darin Humbard, Roger Foshie, Nathan Humbard, Parker Johnson, and Wesley Meade.
Honorary pallbearers are Devon Humbard and Austin Frye.
