Ola Mae Lee

She was an accountant and bookkeeper.

Mrs. Lee was an active member of Whittenburg United Methodist Church since her baptism in 1930. She was the treasurer for over 45 years, served as pianist for several years, and was a member of the Women’s Society of Christian Service.

She was an active member of the Roby Center and the Over 55 Fellowship Group. She was also the pianist for the Roby Center weekly chapel service. She participated for several years in the painting classes at Roby and became a very talented artist.

Survivors include a daughter: Marilyn L. Hawk; two grandchildren and spouses: Allen and Lindsey Hawk and Michael and Veronica Hawk; great grandchildren: Aiden Hawk, Turner Hawk, Gracie Hawk, and Star Hawk; several special cousins; and her caregivers: Thomas and Vesta Cutshaw and Angela Sue Turey.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul Lee; two grandchildren: LeeAnne Hawk and Andrew Jerome Hawk; parents: John and Dessie Murr; a sister: Minnie Belle Murr; and former son-in-law and father of her grandchildren: Roger W. Hawk.

The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 8:00pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Richie Neese and Sam Smith. Mother’s Angel Choir will sing prior to the service.

Burial will be in Whittenburg Cemetery at 3:00pm Friday with Pastor Max Frye officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Joe Holt, Bobby Smelcer, John Allen, Gene Sauceman, David Tobie, Jon Pursley, Max Sauls, Loyd Holt, Ross Holt, Lowell Tate, Buddy Seaton, and Herman Ellenburg Jr.
