Pamela Lynn Sadler was born in Karachi, Pakistan on November 8, 1965. She was born to an unwed mother in a high-class, wealthy Muslim family. According to their custom she should have been killed at birth.
But God had other plans for her. Through many miracles she was brought to the U.S. and was adopted by Brooke and Pat Sadler when she was 5 months old.
When she was 3 years old and her brother Kevin 6 years old, they went with their parents to Sri Lanka for 8 years and Pakistan for 3 years, where Brooke served as principal of a mission school in each country. She and Kevin did home study, helped with their parents’ mission service, including Pam helping care for a total of over 40 rescued orphans in both Sri Lanka and Pakistan who were adopted out to loving families. Following home study for elementary school, Pam and Kevin went to Far Eastern Academy in Singapore for high school.
Coming back to the U.S. with their parents at ages 14 and 17, respectively, Pam and Kevin completed high school at Forest Lake Academy in Apopka, FL, and graduated from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN. With her biology degree, Pam chose to get a job in fundraising, where she quickly distinguished herself, culminating in a position of Vice-President for Advancement at Pacific Union College in Angwin, CA, before she came to the family homestead in Greeneville, TN, and took over the family’s vacation cabin rental business. Young cabin guests that Pam mentored led her to get involved with the community with the Celebrate Recovery program at the First Church of God.
An aggressive, rare form of cancer took Pam’s life on July 16, 2026 after a 4 month battle.
Pam leaves behind her parents, Pat and Brooke Sadler of Greeneville, TN, brother Kevin Sadler (Astrid) also of Greeneville, TN, sister Janelle Sadler of Sanford, FL, sister Kayti Ghosh of Apopka, FL, and sister Jill Sadler of Chattanooga, TN. Outliving Pam are also many aunts and uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Pam will be held at the Riverview Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 4 pm.
