She was retired from MECO.

She was a good wife and mother and will be sadly missed.

Survivors include her husband: Charles Matthews; two sons: Jason Matthews and Steve Matthews; a brother and sister-in-law: James and Karen Lane; several nieces, nephews and cousins including a special cousin, Wanda Johnson.

She was the daughter of the late Bill and Earline Lane and was preceded in death by a daughter,

Linda Matthews; her favorite aunt,Elsie Cosley; a niece, Melanie Lane.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Buster Shelton will officiate. Interment will follow at Harris Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Landon Haney, Conley Johnson, Alex Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Lonnie White and Larry Burkey.

Dale Miller will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family wished to thank the staff of Signature Health Care Center of Greeneville.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
