2 Timothy 4:7-8“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”
He was born on August 28, 1969, in Knoxville, TN to parents Theonia Welcome and Robert Jackson. He was raised in Knoxville where he attended Austin-East High school and took courses at Knoxville College of Business. Paul lived a life grounded in love, faith, and devotion to his family. He was known for his honesty, his sense of humor, the warmth he shared so freely with others, and his love for TN Volunteers football.
A man of faith, Paul was Baptist and considered himself a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where he worshiped faithfully until his health no longer allowed him to attend. His relationship with God was a guiding light in his life.
Paul enjoyed his work at John Deere, where in just six years he built meaningful friendships and came to see his coworkers as family. He had a gift for connecting with people and leaving a lasting impression on those around him.
Above all, Paul was a devoted and loving husband. His marriage was a partnership rooted in faith, strength, and deep love. He was also a proud and caring father, brother, grandfather and friend. His family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Theonia Welcome; uncle, Jesse Turner; niece, Candi Welcome; and great-aunt, Mamie Bond.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bridget; his daughter and son, Aimee and Trevon Hall, all of Greeneville; his siblings, Amy Welcome and Steve Welcome of Knoxville, and Angela Hall and Jeremy Hall of Greeneville; his aunt, Kathy Welcome of Knoxville; and his cousin, Sally Welcome of Cincinnati, Ohio. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Sidney, Bryna (Kidwell), Hadlee, Kyrie, and Draven Hall, Sevyn “Gigi” Greenway, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Friendship Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
