We are so sad to hear of the passing of Bart's mother. I am a teacher at Lifewise, where Bart and Vicki volunteer weekly. I'm guessing that Bart's compassion for kids was learned from his mother. I hope in these days of loss and adjustments, you will find encouragement from the truths of eternal life , our gift from Christ.

I am truly sorry for your families loss.  I have had the privilege of living by Bart and  Vicki for 9 years and I can honestly say we are blessed.  You raised such a great son and have a wonderful daughter in law.  We will continue praying as you go through the grief process.

It’s hard to put into words what this loss feels like. I will miss most knowing you loved me and would set aside our clashes to try and support me  with my life issues and problems.  I could count on you to provide  your opinion even, if I may not have wanted it. I’m grateful for everything you taught me and for the example you set.

I’ll remember the conversations we had, the way you handled things with strength, and even during the times of great conflict you w ere there for me. Those are things I’ll continue to carry with me.

I never had the privilege of meeting Peggy but I have heard so many stories about her over the years that I have been friends with Bart. The one thing that always came through was that she was a lady that spoke her mind. Sometimes that was good and maybe sometimes not so much. But in a world where so many people put on a face of what they want you to believe about them, it must have been refreshing to be around Peggy, knowing that what you saw and heard was was what she meant and who she was. I admire that lack of pretense.

I am deeply sorry for the Landes family.  Mrs. Landes raised a fine young (slightly older than me) man in Bart!  I am Bart and Vicki's next-door neighbor and I couldn't have asked to be next to better people.

As a friend of her son Bart and his wife Vicki, I know how much she meant to them.  That is the most important thing in life -- to have been loved.  My deepest condolences to all who held her dear.
