

She was known by “Mommaw” to all and was deeply loved by all who met her. She will be sadly missed and will be remembered for her loving smile. She loved the Lord. She never asked for much, all she wanted was for her family to be happy, healthy, and to serve the Lord.
Phyllis had been in poor health for several years which introduced several caring people into her life. The family would like to mention Corner Stone Personal Care Service, especially Sheleen Hope and Gedresha Johnson; Amedisys Hospice with special mention of her nurses, Vicky Crigger, Freda Morgan and Denise Clever; social worker, Teresa Fannon and Chaplain David Synder; Greene County- Greeneville EMS with special mention of Jason Phelps and Jordy Clark.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Robbie and Anita Thornburg, with whom she made her home and were her caregivers; children and spouses: Barbie Graham, Rita and Stacy Davis, Rodney and P.J. Thornburg; special son-in-law: Jerry Burger; grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Jason Thornburg, Justin Thornburg, Spencer Burger, Kenley Graham, Lane Thornburg, Braxton Thornburg, and Peyton Davis; brother and sister-in-law: Ronnie and Annie McAmis; aunt and uncles: Elizabeth Melton, Wayland and Wanda Graham; nieces and nephews: Glen and Dagny McAmis, Tammy and Micah Dotson, Chris McAmis, and their children; special cousins: Darrell Myers and Eldon Myers; special “sister”: Barbara Shelton and husband, Darrell; and her special friends: Don and Sue Matheny, Mary and A. J. Dean and Shawn Matheny.
She was the daughter of the late Raymond S. and Marie Graham McAmis and was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Lisa Thornburg.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Chaplain David Synder
and Jerry Burger will officiate.
Interment will be 2:00 p..m. Sunday, at Brown Springs Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Phelps, Leroy Key, Spencer Burger, Jason Thornburg, A.J. Dean, Glen McAmis, Justin Thornburg, Stacy Davis, Jerry Burger, Timmy Stimmer, Shawn Matheny, and Lane Thornburg.
