

He was a faithful employee of DTR-Tennessee.
Mr. Thompson attended Fairview Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife: Jo Ann Swecker Thompson; son and daughter-in-law: David and Becky Thompson of Greeneville; grandsons: Ryan Thompson, Elijah Bell, and Wesley Newman; granddaughter: Deven Newman; mother: Dorothy Thompson of Greeneville; step mother: Anne Thompson of Knoxville; sisters: Nancy Shelton and friend, Jim Massey, of Greeneville
sister and brother-in-law: Mollie and Chris Seay of Knoxville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Shirley and Lowell Gregg of Greeneville; step daughter: Renee Danielle Swecker; and several nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts.
He was the son of the late Edward Thompson and was preceded in death by his wife: Mae Pleasant Thompson; and his brother: David Lynn Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 6 at Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Duncan officiating.
Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the Horse Creek Community.
His pallbearers will be Max Womac, Jim Massey, Roger Pleasant, Lowell Gregg, Gary Hartman, Jerry Ripley, and Joe Armstrong.
Jack Waddell, Calvin Hawkins, Gary Burgner, Haskell Waddle, his friends of the Horse Creek Community, The Lamplighter Class of Fairview Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and his co-workers at DTR will serve as honorary pallbearers.
