

He retired from McLouth Steel Co. in Detroit, Michigan.
He was a member of Casi Full Gospel Church, where he attended faithfully as long as his health permitted.
Mr. Tinker was an honorary lifetime member of West Gate-Cyrus Masonic Lodge #520 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years: Roberta Tinker; daughter and son-in-law: Margaret and Don Shelton of the South Central Community; son and daughter-in-law: Nolan and Kathy Tinker of the South Central Community; grandson: Johnny Whitton of Limestone; great grandson: Evan Whitton of Limestone; brother and sister-in-law: Don and Laverne Tinker of Clarksville, Tennessee; other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Horace and Gertrude Painter Tinker and was preceded in death by two brothers: James Tinker and Lewis Tinker; two sisters: Pauline Hensley and Mary Ellen Fannon; and a step grandson: Shane Yarbor.
The family will receive friends 6pm-8pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home and 12:30pm-2pm Thursday at Casi Full Gospel Church preceding the funeral service.
The funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday, May 15, 2013, at Casi Full Gospel Church with Rev. Shawn Broyles and Rev. Dr. Jim Fields officiating.
Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Dallas Penley, Hank Sower, Harv Whitton, Junior Southerland, Buddy Rogers, Lee Bechtol, David Phillips, and Clay Kyker.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Casi Full Gospel Church, Rev. Neal McGill, nurses and staff of Caris Hospice, and Jean Sluder.
