He was a pipe fitter.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Jackson was a lifetime member of the pipefitters Union #538 and the Arcana Masonic Lodge in Limestone.
He loved fishing, camping with his many friends at Everhart Campground, and wood-working.
He never met a stranger, so he leaves behind family and a great number of friends, all of whom held a place in his heart.
Survivors include his sister: Susan Jackson; nephew: Brad Jackson and wife, Debbie; and family by choice: Carolyn Anderson, Linda Duggins, Francis Gray, Tammy Miller, Dave Ryans, Jerry Menninger, and Becky and Willis Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard T. and Ruby B. Jackson.
The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Earl Bailey and Rev. Charles Lindy officiating.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Lester Brown, Kenneth Rednour, James Turnmire, Dave Wilson, Will Scott, and Earl Casey.
