Ruby Florence Shelton

She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching soap operas, working word puzzles, and playing with her dog, “Shorty”.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Tammy and Roger Babb of Afton; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Danny and Charlotte Shelton of Chuckey and Michael Shelton of Afton; grandchildren: John Babb and wife, Krystal, Dylan Babb, Dustin Babb, Rusty Babb, Cyerra Shelton, Daniel Shelton and wife, Anna, William Shelton and wife, Sarah; a great grandson: Tylan Shelton and expecting two other great grandchildren, Addison Shaye Babb and Landon Lee Neal Shelton; one sister: Audrey Bowman; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Richard and Ruth Shelton of Mosheim, Ray Shelton of Greeneville, Albert and Mary Shelton of Chuckey; special niece: Barbara Barnes; several other nieces and nephews; and special friends: Margaret Crum, Trula Dunbar and Angie Gunter.

She was the daughter of the late Floyd and May June Shelton and was preceded in death by brothers: Pat, Elwood, and Esau Shelton.

The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kevin Shelton officiating.

Interment will be at 10 am Wednesday at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9 am Wednesday at the funeral home to

go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Shelton, Will Shelton, John Babb, Dylan Babb, Dustin Babb, and Wayne Shelton.

Honorary pallbearers are Rusty Babb and Tylan Shelton.

The family wished to express a special thanks to Dr. Larry Kilgore and the staff of UT Medical Center and Cancer Institute.
