Ruby A. Turner, 89, of Poor Farm Road, Greeneville, died Tuesday morning at her home.
Mrs. Turner was retired from the former Southern Electronics in Mosheim.
She was a member of Eastside Independent Baptist Church.
Her family provided the following statement:
"She was a devoted wife and loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She always had a gentle touch, encouraging word, and a forgiving heart."
"Proverbs 31 would completely describe this woman, who was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside."
"Her goal in life was to witness to others and see all saved."
Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law: Betty and Jimmy Feezell of Greeneville; five sons and four daughters-in-law: Cecil and Sue Turner, and Leonard and Mary Turner of Clayton, Ga.; and Edward and Mary Turner, Charles Turner, and David and Susan Turner of Greeneville; her grandchildren and their spouses: Janet and Thomas Cummings, Michelle and Jessie Munger, Wade and Elizabeth Turner, Tonya and Anthony Morelock, Jason and Loretta Feezell, Leonard Odell Jr., Jeff and Mary Turner, Michael and Ginger Turner, Todd and Amy Turner, Rebecca and Kevin Shelton, Angela and Leighton Byrd, Hope Turner, and Paula and Rodney Taylor; her stepgrandchildren and their spouses: Debbie and Doug Crum, Donna and Richie Dearing, Joshua Brooks, Kasey Brooks, Keith Jenkins, and Samantha Ferguson; several great-grandchildren and their spouses, great-great grandchildren, and stepgreat-grandchildren; one special brother of the home for 49 years: Guy Morgan; one sister: Martha Bullington of Greeneville; two sisters-in-law: Bertha Turner and Joyce Turner; brothers-in-law and their spouses: Bennie and Ruby Turner, and Paul and Lee Ellen Turner; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend: Roxie Burger of Greeneville.
She was a daughter of the late Hunter and Susie Lauderdale Morgan and was preceded in death by her husband: Lencil O. Turner; three brothers: Paul Scott, James Scott, and Brumley Morgan; and three sisters: Flora Bolinger, Effie Hensley, and Edna Moore.
The family will receive friends at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
Pastor David Fox will officiate.
Interment will be in Bradburn Hill Cemetery.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will be active and honorary pallbearers.
Additional honorary pallbearers will be her friends, neighbors and the members of Eastside Baptist Church.
