She was retired.
Mrs. Powell loved gospel singing.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years: Charles Powell; daughter: Evelyn Powell of Lakeland, Florida; two granddaughters: April and Ashley Powell of Lakeland, Florida; three grandsons: Joshia, Samuel, and Miciah Powell; daughter-in-law: Christine Powell of Germany; brother-in-law: Gene Powell; two sisters-in-law: Arlene Morris and Marie Johnson; and many family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son: Ron Powell of Germany.
The family will receive friends from 5pm-7pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Gibbs officiating.
Interment will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
