She retired from the Washington County School system after 34 years of teaching.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church at South Central. Where she was a member of Mt. Carmel UMW.
Sallie is survived by two sons, Lloyd Erik Fleenor (Tammy) of South Central and Jonathan Kyle Fleenor (Trisha) of Limestone; grandchildren: Savannah Fleenor (Nolan Gilliam), Mylie Fleenor Coker (Matthew), Colton Fleenor (Lauren), and Marshall Fleenor; a sister Gloriana O’dell of Chuckey; a brother, John A. Moore (Anna) of South Central; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Oda and Blanche Moore; and was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd F. Fleenor, Jr. on May 2, 2025; brothers and sisters, Russel Moore (Ruth), Roy Moore (Velma), Birtha Tossava (Warren), Virginia Kyker (Wib), Eugene Moore (Thelma), O.O. Moore, and Carolyn Smith (Jerry).
The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 pm on Wednesday at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church at South Central preceding the funeral service which will be held at 4:00 pm. Rev. Emma Ward and Michael Brown will officiate.
Interment will then be conducted at Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Colton Fleenor, Marshall Fleenor, Bradley Thompson, Alex Moore, Josh Moore, Matthew Coker, and Nolan Gilliam.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and Ronnie Brown.
