Shirley M Norton

She was retired after 40 years at Hurd Lock. She was a member of Piney Grove FWB Church and loved to sing and play the piano and Q Cord for the Lord as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Wesley and Debbie Norton; grandson and granddaughter-in-law: Eric and Cara Metcalf; great grandson: Nate Metcalf who called her (Gi Gi); brother: Lynn Massey and a sister-in-law: Jerelene Massey; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Jimmie Norton; grandson: Allen Norton; sister: Wanda Arrington; brother: Arnold Massey. She was the daughter of the late Calius and Leona Massey.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Buford Metcalf and Rev. Dolphus Cutshaw officiating

Interment will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at Piney Grove cemetery.

Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
