

She was a homemaker and was of the Christian Faith. She raised her family in Baileyton and spent the last decade of her life at Life Care Center of Greeneville.
Sylvia is survived by daughters, Eva White, Laska “Shorty” (Billy W.) Sexton and Darla (Jimmy “Bo” Dean) Loveless; many grands, great grand and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cecil Pickel, Sr; a son, James Cecil Pickel Jr. as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Gary Gass officiating.
Interment will be held on Wednesday at 10 am in Cross Anchor Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9 am to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville and to the staff of CARIS Hospice.
