

Thomas Lee Hensley passed away peacefully at his home in Greeneville, TN on June 11, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 15, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN. Tom grew up in Charlestown, IN and was a 1975 Graduate of Charlestown High School. During his youth Tom developed his love of fishing, camping, and hunting alongside his brothers. His mechanical skills started when he and his brothers would make an old motor run for their homemade go carts. His love never stopped for building or fixing things in his garage when it came to his friends and family. His intelligent nature assured whatever he was building or remodeling would be done right. Tom was a man you could count on, because of his kind and caring heart, he helped anyone and everyone who needed it, especially his family. Before retiring he worked for many years in industrial manufacturing in Greeneville and Morristown. Tom lived a life of hard work and dedication to his family. He was one of the few good men that God put on this Earth. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege to have known him. He will be forever missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Lana Hensley; Stepsons (loved as his own) Eric Humbert (Chan), Greeneville, TN; Jeremy Humbert (Carol) Conover North Carolina; Brothers, Greg Hensley, Indianapolis, IN; Mitch Hensley, Charlestown, IN; Lloyd Bussey (Cherry), Louisville, KY; Sisters, Debra Gilbert (Leon), Marysville, IN; Donna Burkhead (Ben), Charlestown, IN; Grandson, Brenden Hensley, Limestone, TN; Granddaughters, Aniyah White, Limestone, TN; Briley Walker, Greeneville, TN; Alexis Humbert, Philadelphia, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Hensley and Betty (Stone) Bussey. His beloved daughters, Ashley and Sarah Hensley. His brothers, Floyd and Donnie Bussey.
There will be a memorial service conducted at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home at 4:00 pm Tuesday, June 16, 2026 with Rev. Kevin Brown and Rev. Ricky Morrison officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service.
