He was retired.
He is survived by his wife: Clara Montgomery; two sons: Troy Taylor and (Lisa), Jason Taylor and (Angie); one daughter: Jessie Morgan; special grandkids: Hayleigh Taylor, Braylen Taylor and Brandon Taylor; grandchildren: Holden Metcalf, Justin Taylor, MacKenzie Laws; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bloomer Russel Montgomery and Mary Jane Norrington; and three sister and four brothers.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with the service to follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ken Thacker officiating. Interment will be held at Union Chapel Cemetery at 2:00 pm Tuesday. Friends and family are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 pm to go in procession to the cemetery.
