

She retired from Kern’s Bakery after 35 years of service. She enjoyed cooking for others, spending time with her family, and attending church as long as her health permitted. She was a member of Whittenburg United Methodist Church. She was lovingly referred to as Mamaw Ginna and Mamaw Bread Store.
Virginia was the daughter of the late Bascom and Lydia Sauceman. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Sandy and Larry Hogan; daughter-in-law: Beverly Overbay; grandchildren: Monica Shoemaker, Amy and Carson Rose, Michelle and David Smith; great grandchildren: Jaelyn and Raina Shoemaker, Matthew Rose, India Russell-Mitchell, and Kiley, Khloe, and Jase Overbay.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Overbay, two grandsons, Matt Hogan and Aaron Overbay, and eleven siblings.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 16, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Max Frye, Rev. Dolphus Cutshaw, and Rev. Buster Shelton officiating.
Interment will be at 10:00 am Friday at Whittenburg United Methodist Cemetery. Friends and family who wish to do so are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 am to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gene, Anthony, and Danny Sauceman, David Tobie, and Sam Gray.
