
She worked at Laughlin Hospital and Huf, Mfg.Inc. until her retirement in 2004.
Vivian was a loving mom and grandmother. She loved her faithful companion poodle, Christy. Mrs. Gregg moved back to Greeneville in 1993 to be near her family.
She was born February 24, 1937, a daughter of the late Claude and Ella Evans.
Mrs. Gregg is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Patty and Randy Tilson of Greeneville; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Charles and Norma Rupert of Summerfield, North Carolina and Jeff Rupert of Maryville, Tennessee; five grandchildren and spouses: Paige and Brad Peters and Ashley and Brandon Aldridge of Greeneville, Rachel Rupert of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Megan and Matt Rupert, both of Maryville, Tennessee; step-granddaughter: Hilary Tilson of Knoxville, Tennessee; several great grandchildren: Madison Metcalf, Jackson and McKinley Peters, Kaylee Aldridge and Landon Aldridge, all of Greeneville, and Meah and Chayce Rupert of Maryville, Tennessee; her dear friend: Dean Booth of Mississippi; great niece, who was dear to her heart: Beth Evans; her special little man: Landon, whom she loved dearly; two special cousins: Ruth Wedding Brown and Jay Wedding; several nephews and nieces; and a special friend that visited her weekly: Kristie Bruning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert L. (Bobby) Gregg, who passed away in February 2004; a brother: Gene Evans; and a sister: Edna Wilhoit.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the memorial service at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Tammy Greene will officiate.
A private interment will follow at a later date.
Laughlin Memorial Hospital Volunteers will serve as honorary pallbearers.
