Wanda was a devoted wife and mother. She was an employee of Greene County Schools working as a bus aide and in the CDC classroom at Doak Elementary School. Later, she spent many years as a caretaker for her husband, Kline, who she met in the 1960s when she worked at the Super Dollar, which later became Food City. Wanda was never without a smile and a positive attitude. In her later years, she became an avid bingo player, gifting her quarter winnings to her grandchildren.
She was a member of Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Greene County Farm Bureau Women.
Survivors include daughter, Katie (Matt) Waters; grandchildren, Stella, Finley, and Carter Waters; brother, D.A. (Callie) Fannon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Kline Jones; parents, Clifford and Lizzie Kate Fannon; and sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Don Southerland.
The family will receive friends 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, October 1, 2026, and 9:00am to 10:30am Friday, October 2, 2026, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held 11:00am Friday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens, officiated by Rev. Andy Blackwelder.
Honorary pallbearers are Tim Fannon, Ottis Haney, Jerry Luttrell, Ryan McLain, Jack Southerland, Karen Strange, Rick Tweed, the Cumberland Adventurers Sunday School class at Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, her friends and caregivers at Morning Pointe of Knoxville, and UT Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church Merciful Neighbor Fund.
