Wayne B. Brown

Wayne B. Brown, 83, of the Cross Anchor Community, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at his home.

He retired as a carpenter and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a faithful member of Cross Anchor Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife: Mary Ruth Brown; son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Rhonda Brown; grandchild: Hollie Yates; two very special great grandchildren: Eli Yates and Sarah Yates; brother and sister-in-law: Gary and Nancy Brown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jim and Geraldine Pierce, Betty Taylor, Madge Britton, and Paul Pierce of Michigan; aunts and uncles: Doyle and Patricia Brown, Mary Ruth Malone, and John Britton of Florida;and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

He was the son of the late Luke and Sue Brown and was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Gray.

The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following the visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sam Smith officiating.

Interment will follow at 11am Tuesday at Cross Anchor Cemetery .Family and friends are requested to meet at 10:15 am Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the committal service.

His pallbearers will be Roger Brown, Mike Jolson, Randy Pierce, Ronald Jones, Dale Jones, Joe Jones, Freddy Simpson, Jeff Williams, and Terry Britton.
