Dick attended Trinity Church and was a farmer.
He is survived by his son, Dickie Carter, and two grandsons, Matthew Allen Carter and Morgan Lynn Carter.
Dick is preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Carter, and parents, Cox and Nelle Carter.
The family will receive friends 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The graveside service will be held at 2pm Thursday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1pm to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers are Matthew Carter, Morgan Carter, and Van Walker.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
