April 26,2012, his birthday, at his home after a long, hard battle with lung cancer.
He worked for the Greeneville Water Department, Hurd Lock and the Lear Corp. retiring after 33 years.
Mr. Foulks was a member of Hardins Chapel United Methodist Church, he was a charter member of the Hardins Chapel Ruritan Club. He served in the U. S. Army and the Tennessee National Guard, was a member of the Morristown Golf and Country Club.
He was well known for his fun loving ways, he loved everyone, he always had a smile on his face, even in death. He now has his reward, a new body and is sheltered in the arms of God.
He leaves behind his wife: Brenda Whaley Foulks; one daughter and son-in-law: Sandy and Rick Malone; three sons and duagthers-in-law: Jeff and Donna Foulks, Steven and Cristi Foulks, and Brendan and Gina Foulks; grandchildren: Logan Foulks, Morgan Foulks, Karleigh Foulks, Kaleb Byrd Foulks, Brock Malone, Tanner Malone, Amanda Morelas and Elizabeith Morelas; six great grandchildren; stepson: Brice Whaley; step grandchildren: Mellisa Starnes, Johnathan Pitt, Dakota Whaley, Danielle Whaley, Brandon Murray and wife, Elizabeth, and Jordan Malone; a sister: Betty Foulks; a brother: Jack Foulks; nephews: Franklin Foulks, Cody Foulks and Donnie Foulks.
He was the son of the late James and Mayme Foulks, and was preceded in death by his wife, the first love of his life and the mother of his children, Deanna Foulks; a special grandson, Alex Thompson.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Lewis Kiser will officiate.
Interment will follow at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Brock Malone, Tanner Malone, Jonathan Pitt, Dwayne Foulks, Darren Foulks, and Rick Malone.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Tate, Steve Stallings, Harold Stanifer, Ralph Shockley and Homer Trantham.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
